Chase Ultimate Rewards has just launched its latest airline transfer bonus. Actually, it’s a trio of transfer bonuses, and I think some members will find this to be worthwhile.
Chase offering 20% bonus on Avios points transfers
Between March 1 and March 31, 2026, Chase Ultimate Rewards is offering a 20% bonus when you transfer points to British Airways Club.

A transfer bonus like this seems to be offered an average of once to twice per year, and it’s typically in the range of 20-30%. So the 20% bonus is on the lower end of these offers, but is still definitely better than no bonus.
Not only is there a 20% transfer bonus to British Airways Club, but the same bonus is available to Aer Lingus AerClub and Iberia Club. That’s nice, though keep in mind that you can freely transfer Avios between the various “flavors.”
When you go to make a transfer, you should immediately see the 20% bonus reflected. Transfers from Ultimate Rewards to these partners are typically instant.

British Airways Club is also transfer partners with Amex Membership Rewards and Capital One. We do sometimes see transfer bonuses from those currencies to British Airways Club as well.
Is acquiring Avios with a 20% bonus worth it?
I think there’s value to be had in taking advantage of a 20% bonus on points transfers from Ultimate Rewards to Avios. That’s not because of any one particular redemption opportunity, but rather because of the collective value of the Avios ecosystem.
Back in the day, the best uses of British Airways Avios were for short haul travel on partner airlines, including on Alaska and American. Unfortunately those redemption opportunities have been devalued horribly.
However, lots of great new options using Avios have emerged. For example, I love how Qatar Airways Privilege Club is now an Avios airline, as this opens up some great opportunities:
- Qatar Airways has one of the world’s best business class products, and the airline makes a vast majority of business class award space available only to those redeeming Avios
- Qatar Airways Privilege Club has some unique partner redemption opportunities, like being able to fly JetBlue Mint across the Atlantic for 78,000 Avios (so with a 20% bonus, that would be just 65,000 Chase points)
Anyway, there’s a ton of potential value here, so see my guides to maximizing Avios with British Airways Club, Iberia Club, Aer Lingus Aer Club, Qatar Airways Privilege Club, and Finnair Plus.

Bottom line
For the next several weeks, you can get a 20% bonus when you convert your Chase Ultimate Rewards points into British Airways Club Avios. The same bonus is also available to Aer Lingus AerClub and Iberia Club.
Avios is one of the most useful points currencies out there, especially given across how many airlines you can redeem these rewards. I think for many people, this could be worth a speculative transfer.
Do you plan on taking advantage of this transfer bonus from Chase Ultimate Rewards to British Airways, Iberia, and Aer Lingus?
