Here’s former President Joe Biden causally boarding American Airlines in Miami, heading to the U.S. Virgin Islands. Based on his departure from Miami airport’s gate D39, this is American Airlines 2959 to St. Croix, which pushed back 8 minutes early and arrived on-time.
(This is the original posting of the video, not embedded here because of the family-unfriendly lyrics added as background music.)
Here’s a throwback to Biden this summer in a Philadelphia Admirals Club.
Also this summer he even won over a Trump supporter whose spouse he bumped from American Airlines first class. (The American Airlines theme stems from his living in Delaware, and American operating the nearest hub.)
Update: American Airlines is woke AF but Joe Biden signed my daughter’s birthday card so I guess it’s okay he bumped my husband out of first class. pic.twitter.com/sTqh1dSHR7

I’ve long viewed Biden as an honorable man, albeit one I disagree with on many things, who did a poor job on Senate Foreign Relations and Judiciary and who allowed his Presidential administration to be run as a fiefdom, delegating issue areas to affected groups within his party. And this led to worse outcomes than I’d expected based on how he campaigned in 2020. But I have little to complain about in his post-presidency, and certainly compared to the current President during the Biden administration.
I much-like a return to normalcy post-political career. Presidents and other top politicians ought to take a cue from former Congressman Thaddeus McCotter who offered the best resignation in history from the U.S. House of Representatives (emphasis mine),
The recent event’s totality of calumnies, indignities and deceits have weighed most heavily upon my family. Thus, acutely aware one cannot rebuild their hearth of home amongst the ruins of their U.S. House office, for the sake of my loved ones I must “strike another match, go start anew” by embracing the promotion back from public servant to sovereign citizen.
(McCotter was the first sitting congressman in 70 years not to qualify for their own party’s primary. Staff submitted fake signatures on the required petition. He was not suspected of wrongdoing.)
I don’t think he should be treated as more important than other passengers on a commercial flight. Here I think taking a cue from Jimmy Carter makes sense. Still, it’s a bit odd to see Biden queueing with everyone else, though here he’s visibly escorted in line by law enforcement. But I really like it.
