Florida Man Arrested at Disney-Area Resort After “Inappropriate Conduct” With a Vacuum Cleaner

A Florida man exposed himself and “engaged in inappropriate conduct,” with witnesses providing cell phone video where he’s partially clothed engaged in a “sexual performance with a vacuum cleaner” at the Windsor Hills Resort, a gated vacation rental community near Disney World.

On January 21 a complaint reported a nude male in a hallway. The next day there were reports of indecent exposure and inappropriate conduct, but the man was gone before deputies arrived. Investigators canvassed the area and took statements. The suspect and his wife were listed as Airbnb hosts there. Then on Tuesday, January 27 the man was arrested and charged with exposure of sexual organs. Florida’s “exposure of sexual organs” is a first degree misdemeanor.

It’s no surprise that this was Florida Man, and in fact much of online commentary narrow to:

“What’s the charge? Vacuuming? A deep cleaning suction?”
“That’s what the vacuum said.”
“God forbid a man has hobbies.”

I would hate to own, manage, or especially work housekeeping at a hotel or ‘vacation rental community.’ I can’t imagine what goes on, just having watched some of the stories that come out like the man who locked his meth in his room safe and forgot the combination and needed to get help from staff (and law enforcement) to get it out. Or the naked guest who triggered a Marriott evacuation after spraying fire extinguishers and smearing blood across the second floor, in a bad reaction to cocaine.

Not to mention the Florida guest who ‘good thing I’m on YouTube’ after lighting a cigarette and throwing designer drugs at the police. Indeed, last year a naked woman banged on the door of my hotel room at 4:30 a.m. before pulling the fire alarm and forcing the hotel to evacuate.
